Funding
Every successful individual knows that his or her achievement depends on a community of persons working together.
The NDIS is Australia’s first national Scheme for people with disability. It funds a range of supports and services which may include education, employment, social participation, independence, living arrangements and health and wellbeing. It provides funding directly to eligible individuals, based on their needs. To find out more about the NDIS Click here or to check if you are eligible for funding Click here
Bribie Respite and Support Services is a registered NDIS provider.
In line with the NDIS, we enable people to realise short and long term goals.
These are inevitably different for everyone. They may include becoming more independent, learning new skills, improving writing or numeracy, improving fitness or making new friends.
Applying for NDIS Funding for Disability Support
Every NDIS participant has an individual plan that lists their goals and the funding they have received. NDIS participants use their funding to purchase the supports and services that will help them achieve their goals. These could include things like transport to social or community activities, physical therapeutic supports, behaviour support, help making friends or help learning self-care.
Bribie Respite and Support Services can assist you with applying for NDIS support and preparing for your planning meeting.
When you have an approved NDIS plan, you can choose what supports and services you feel you need to achieve your goals, who provides them and where they are delivered.
If you would like Bribie Respite & Support Services’ assistance in developing your NDIS plan or discussing the plan you have, we are here to help – Please contact our friendly admin team with any enquiries
At Bribie Respite & Support Services we provide both In-home Community Care and a Day Respite program for the frail aged and people with dementia.
Our Aged Care supports and assistance are designed to support people living with dementia and the carers of these people, to remain living in their own home as long as they can or wish to do so.
We provide the following In-home care services:
We also provide a weekly program of day respite from 10am to 3pm every day, through which we offer a range of fun and social activities. People can attend for as many days as they wish and we provide transport to and from the centre.
Our Day Respite Program is subsidised by the Commonwealth Government Home Support Program (CHSP) but we are also a registered provider of supports and services through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
Since our Respite Program is subsidised in this way we are funded to provide Social Support Group Activities (Day Respite) to those who are eligible for CHSP services, however, a co-contribution is expected of all guests. People who are receiving Home Care Package support through other service providers are also welcome to attend our day respite program.
To receive CHSP services from Bribie Respite and Support Services you will have been assessed by someone organised through My Aged Care.
Our staff will review the information from My Aged Care and will then develop a support plan for you. We will review or re-assess your support whenever you or our staff feel it is necessary or required, and at least once every 12 months.
Please contact our friendly admin team with any enquiries, to discuss your different choices with regards to accessing our service through your package for home care or social support services.
When you have an approved NDIS plan, you can choose what supports and services you feel you need to achieve your goals, who provides them and where they are delivered.
